Seeing a popular trend in the market of people not wanting to part with their age old furniture pieces, the collective(Sahej, Vrinda, Navya, Vrinda) conceptualized deconstruction and reconstruction of such furniture and transformed them into brand new products and accessories. Old Drawers were given a new life as a Pouf, Elements of chairs and lights, Tables as shelves and many other such explorations. This product range which started as a summer project built the roots of our interdisciplinary practice going by the name of Studio Wood. With Backgrounds in Architecture, Product design, Interior design and Graphic design The objective was to rediscover the potential of used furniture pieces and deconstruct their existing form, whilst giving the product a brand new outlook.
